Southampton’s run without conceding a goal ended at 612 minutes in a 3-1 win over Burnley at St Mary’s.
Charlie Austin netted a second half brace either side of a Nathan Redmond goal.
Sam Vokes scored a consolation from the spot denying Southampton a seven-straight clean sheet.
The Saints have picked up points in four consecutive Premier League matches (3W, 1D) whilst Burnley has just one win from their last five (1W, 3L, 1D).
Tom Heaton made 10 saves over the course of the match, including a superb one to prevent Charlie Austin’s header from finding the bottom corner in the 5th minute.
Dusan Tadic, who maintained his sensational form away in World Cup Qualifiers for Serbia, nearly found an opening goal on 31 minutes when he latched onto Fraser Forster’s clearance only to hit his shot into Heaton’s range.
Burnley had a penalty appeal waived off by referee Mike Dean after Virgil van Dijk clipped Johann Gudmundsson as he raced into the box just after the half hour mark.
A busy Heaton then kept out Nathan Redmond at his near post eight minutes from the break whilst Austin couldn’t pounce on the rebound.
But Austin made his former club pay when he bundled home at the second attempt from a corner kick in the 52nd minute.
Tadic had his effort tipped over the bar before Redmond doubled the lead from the resulting corner when he fired a low volley past the keeper.
With Southampton in the ascendancy, Sam McQueen was awarded a penalty after being fouled by Gudmundsson, and Austin duly dispatched from the spot for his sixth goal of the league campaign.
The Clarets then won a spot-kick when Tadic gave away a foul in the box and Vokes converted past Forster 18 minutes from full-time.
Steven Davis and Jay Rodriguez each had chances to restore the three-goal advantage only to be thwarted at the last.
