Clyne makes debut as England maintained perfect record

Nathaniel Clyne made his England debut against Slovenia at Wembley, with the right back starting the game from kick-off until the full time whistle. Clyne helped create several chances, but was also booked in the 79th minute. Fellow Saints, Fraser Forster, was an unused substitute. As goals from Wayne Rooney and a brace from Danny Welbeck helped erase Slovenia's shock lead through an own-goal from Jordan Henderson.

Zambia closer to AFCON 2015 qualifications

Emmanuel Mayuka helped Zambia to the brink of qualification for AFCON 2015 as they defeated Mozambique by a goal to nil. This result means that Zambia has eight points from five games and needed just a point in their next game against Cape Verde.

Senegal won to qualify for AFCON 2015

Sadio Mané was also in AFCON 2015 qualifiers action as his side defeated Egypt 1-0, thanks to an early goal from Mame Biram Diouf. The 1-0 scoreline was enough to book Senegal's place in next year's tournament as they are guaranteed to finish in the top two of their group. They can still top their group depending on their game against Botswana and Tunisia's game against Egypt.

Josh Sims and co. edged out Poland

Josh Sims played 70 minutes for England U-18 as they defeated host Poland U-18 after going a goal down. Sims was involved in England's second goal that turned the scoreline to 2-1 before being subbed off.

Schneiderlin ruled out of France's game v Sweden

Morgan Schneiderlin's involvement in the international break came to a premature end as he has returned to the club following a scan that revealed a slight problem with his right adductor. He will undergo further assessment from the club's medical staff.
