Belgium held by Wales
Toby Alderweireld played the whole game as his side was held to a goalless draw by Wales. Both sides exchanged chances but neither of them can break the deadlock. Gareth Bale had a swerving free-kick saved by Thibaut Courtois, while Nicolas Lombaerts's powerful shot struck the post. Late in the game, Christian Benteke had a header cleared off the line as Wales held firm.
Belgium is now in fourth place with five points from three games.
Crowd trouble in Italy v Croatia game
Italy and Croatia also shared the spoils in a game that was marred by stoppages when flares was thrown on to the pitch. The riot police was also called into action to control the disturbances caused in particular, by the away crowd. The game was held in San Siro, with Antonio Candreva opening the scoring in 11th minute. But four minutes later, Ivan Perisic equalized for the visitors.
Graziano Pellè came on as a sub in the 63rd minute, but was unable to change the scoreline. With this result, both sides remained top of group H with 10 points from four games, with Croatia having the superior goal difference.
