Southampton through to fourth-round
The Saints defeated Championship side, Ipswich Town, 1-0 in the third round replay of The FA Cup courtesy of Shane Long's goal in the 19th minute.
The result means that Southampton will now play host as Crystal Palace comes to visit in the next round.
Injury woe #1
But the price that Southampton had to pay for that win was expensive as Victor Wanyama was forced off with an injury. The Kenyan international suffered a hamstring injury and could miss up to five weeks according to Ronald Koeman.
Injury woe #2
To make matters worse, Wanyama's other half in The Saints' midfield partnership, Morgan Schneiderlin is also set for a spell in the sidelines with an adductor injury. It's unlikely that the Frenchman will return before February.
Injury woe #3 (last one, promise!)
Toby Alderweireld, a casualty of Sunday's win over Manchester United, is likely to miss the rest of January after he injured his hamstring.
But the Belgian is keeping positive thoughts:

Our boy down under
Maya Yoshida played the whole game as Japan moves closer to the knockout stage of Asian Cup with a 1-0 win over 2007 winners, Iraq. Keisuke Honda netted the only goal in Brisbane.
U21 progress in the cup

New kit for Saturday's game
Don't be shocked to see The Saints' lining up in yellow as a brand new third-kit will be worn for tomorrow's game against Newcastle United at St. James' Park.
Yellow, that's a good color on James Ward-Prowse, what do you think?
