The Italian international was influential in Southampton's resurgence, helping the club to their dominant win over Swansea City after bagging two goals against Manchester United the week previous.
Judging by Pelle's current form, this could be the first of many awards for him - especially after his fantastic performance against Chelsea on October 3rd where he bullied the Blues backline before bagging a goal to make it 3-1 to the Saints at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to the club, Pelle said: "I'm really happy and proud and I hope to win many others because that means I'm doing well."
"The most important thing is the team because you don't win by yourself, so I have to say thanks to everybody - the supporters and my teammates.
"In this month as a team we found our best form. We are doing well. We won a game at home and maybe it was not easy for the fans to judge the best this month."
