Southampton's Steven Davis has continued his impressive form in front of goal as he scored the winning goal in Northern Ireland's 1-0 win over Latvia last night.

Northern Ireland came up against Latvia, who are managed by former Saint Marian Pahars, and netted just 10 minutes into the second half.

After not scoring in nearly two years, Davis now has five goals for club and country in just over a month. The midfielder scored in the 3-1 victory at Chelsea before scoring a brace on international duty. Davis then netted in the game against neighbours AFC Bournemouth.

Steven Davis wasn't the only Saints player to score for their country this week. Maya Yoshida also found the net in Japan's 3-0 over Singapore with a late goal to put the win beyond any doubt.
