Saturday afternoon sees the Saints host the Potters on the South Coast in what is sure to be an intriguing contest between the teams of former Barcelona players-turned coaches Ronald Koeman and Mark Hughes.
Both Southampton and Stoke City are in the top three of the Premier League form table going into the game as they look to build momentum after a slow start to their respective seasons.
Saints defender Virgil van Dijk is expected to be fit to play against Stoke despite picking up a knee injury while on international duty for the Netherlands. Shane Long could also feature after his late cameo appearance for the Republic of Ireland was free of incident.
However, Jay Rodriguez looks like he will be out of action for some time after picking up a foot injury which could require surgery. Other than that, only the usual suspects of Florin Gardos and Fraser Forster remained sidelined through injury.
Stoke will be missing Marc Muniesa with a hamstring injury, while veteran goalkeeper Shay Given - who Saints put six goals past in their 6-1 demolition of Aston Villa last season - is also unavailable following knee surgery.
