Southampton visit a beleaguered Manchester City side who are missing a number of key players through injury.

Ronald Koeman's men are presently unbeaten away from home this season: a run which has included results such as their 3-1 win away at Chelsea and dramatic 1-1 draw against Liverpool.

City will be missing players such as Joe Hart, captain Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and Eliaquim Mangala. However, Spanish playmaker David Silva is included in the squad.

The Saints will be without a key component of their own, with Italian international striker Graziano Pelle missing out through suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Southampton's Irish striker Shane Long looks set to deputise.

Manuel Pellegrini's side lost 4-1 at home to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool last week and Southampton will be hoping to replicate that scoreline come Saturday afternoon.

Stats Corner:

Manchester City are unbeaten in four games against Southampton, winning the last three. Southampton have endured five defeats in a row at the Etihad in all competitions.

Southampton could equal their top-flight record of seven successive away games without a defeat today - their last away defeat was to City on the last day of the 2014-15 season.

City have not lost more than two Premier League home games at home since 2009-10. They have already suffered two home defeats.

City have only won two of six matches against fellow top ten opponents so far this season.

All five of Southampton's league wins have come against clubs in the bottom seven of the league table.
