Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez has reportedly told his agent, Pablo Betancourt, to ensure a move back to Italy's Serie A.
According to Forza Italian Football, Betancourt was speaking to Italian airwaves on Radio Neptune reiterating Ramirez's stance of wanting to return to the country.
"[Gaston] Ramirez has suffered from numerous physical injuries during his time in England. He wants to return to Italy, he thinks about it constantly, in particular he'd love to play for Bologna again. It is not a question of money, he wants to be valued. Bologna is his priority but we will listen to offers," spouted Betancourt.
Ramirez, once one of the world's hottest young talents, has had a torrid time in England since making the 15million euro move from Bologna to the South Coast.
Only 24, the playmaker has spent three full seasons in the Premier League - the last of which on loan at relegated Hull City - and has failed to impress. Though, he has never had a proper run in the Southampton starting XI due to a string of injuries.
However, the Uruguayan did enjoy is time at Bologna, which saw him score an impressive 15 goals in 60 appearances for the Rossoblu following on from his move away from Montevideo giants Penarol back in 2010.
The former wonderkid has recently returned to the Saints fold, making cameo appearances against MK Dons in the Capital One Cup and as a late substitute away at Liverpool in the Premier League. The latter saw Ramirez grab an assist as he nodded the ball across goal for Sadio Mane to crash home as Saints stole a late point.
Ramirez was recently dealt a huge blow to his career having not been called up for international action in Uruguay's 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
