Manchester United have long been reported to be interested in Southampton's Senegalese forward Sadio Mane. However, according to the Daily Telegraph, Bayern Munich have now joined the fray.
You'd be forgiven for thinking Pep Guardiola's Bayern aren't exactly in need of any more attacking talent with Robert Lewandoski, Franck Ribery, Thomas Muller, Douglas Costa and one Arjen Robben on their books. But, if you believe newspapers, this is the case.
United are more likely to be interested in Southampton's marauding forward, given their recent struggles to score goals in the Premier League with only two recognised strikers in the waning Wayne Rooney and inexperienced Anthony Martial. However, Saints' valuation could deter Louis van Gaal from making a bid.
Ronald Koeman has consistently denied reports that Mane will move from Southampton any time soon so I guess we'll have to take his word for it.
