Southampton were drawn against Crystal Palace in today's FA Cup third round draw.
Former Saints boss Alan Pardew will be looking to haunt the hosts at St. Mary's come January, having helped establish Palace as a Premier League mainstay.
The Eagles actually knocked Southampton out of the FA Cup last year, having won 2-3 away on the South Coast in a back and forth contest.
Southampton meet Palace this weekend away at Selhurst Park which could be a good indicator of how the FA Cup third round will pan out when they eventually meet in the new year.
