With the January transfer window coming to a close in a few hours, Southampton has been quite active in bolstering their squad.
Filip Djuričić is close to coming to St. Mary's on a loan deal, with an agreement between Southampton and Mainz 05 in place.
However, Southampton's pursuit of Tonny Vilhena, is likely to be unsuccessful, as reported by Sky Sports.
It is believed that The Saints has submitted a bid worth £5m to lure the Dutch midfielder from Feyenoord to England, but it appears that a deal is not likely to happen.

There has been report that Southampton is now turning their sights on another midfielder from Dutch Eredivisie, specifically Kamohelo Mokotjo, from FC Twente. He has also worked under Ronald Koeman at Feyenoord.
Twente midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo reportedly a target for Southampton if they don't sign Tonny Vilhena.

But nothing concrete has materialized about Southampton's rumored interest in Mokotjo and as it stand, Djuričić might be the only new face to join today.
