Following the capture of Filip Đuričić, which was widely expected to be the final bit of transfer business from Saints in January, there has been a growth in speculation suggesting that Bertrand will commit his future to Southampton.
Bertrand, 25, joined Saints on loan on July 30th before making his debut against Liverpool in a 2-1 loss at Anfield.
He has become a routine first-team player, and has previously stated his intention to find a new home after repeatedly being farmed out on loan by parent club Chelsea.
Reports in October from the BBC suggested that Bertrand was receptive to the idea of a permanent stay at St. Mary's.
Ronald Koeman has also openly admitted on numerous occasions that he would like to keep Bertrand on the south coast.
So will Ryan Bertrand sign for Saints tonight?
With just over two hours of the January window remaining, we will get the answer to the question soon enough.
