Prediction League: Baggies at home

Sir Rick returns. Hopefully he gets on the pitch this time.

When these two teams last met in September it was dubbed the "teams that hate spurs derby". Berahino and Wanyama were stuck at clubs they had tried to leave a few weeks earlier on transfer deadline day.

Neither got their wish and both might be sat on the bench when the two teams kick off on Saturday. Big Victor should struggle to earn his starting spot back from the yellow card machine Oriol Romeu, whilst Pulis is doing everything in his power to reduce Saido Berahino's transfer value.

Pulis and his brand of anti-football won in September. Despite being the home side, his trusty bank of four centre backs managed to hold on for the nil nil he desired. WBA have failed to score in 5 of the last 8 games against the saints but they have also managed to keep 6 clean sheets in the same time. Just 3 goals scored in the last 5 meetings, its not one of the fixtures you look out the day they get announced!

To the predictions:

Connor does it again. Another correct score takes him to the top of the table.

WRITER POINTS
Connor 13
Jake 11
Merse 11
Dan 10
George 9
Lawro 9
Will 5
Tommy 1

Merse: 2-1
"I'm going to pick Southampton to win with Shane Long scoring first."

Lawro: 2-1
"I am a little bit hesitant to say Saints will follow up Wednesday's win over Watford with another three points, because they have the odd win this season then not turned up in their next three games."

Connor: 1-0
"West Brom never make life easy for us and I can see us having to battle our way past them. It won't be easy but two home wins in quick succession would be a huge confidence boost."

Dan: 1-0
"Forster having to make a save this time and Pelle to come off the bench and score."

George: 1-0
"Saints to try everything to break the door down, before a piece of magic unlocks the door."

Tommy: 3-1
"Now that I'm on the board, the fun can start. Graziano to score twice with Steven Davis adding the third goal. Another much needed win for Southampton."

Jake: 1-0
"A tough, close game but Saints' second-half woes return on Saturday."

Will: 2-1
"Wednesday was more like it. Making the opposition look awful. WBA don't need any help looking bad but hopefully we can be a bit more dangerous in front of goal."
