Relive Southampton's disappointing 1-0 loss away at Norwich

Ah, crushing disappointment.

The festive football period looked like it was going to be nothing but positive for Southampton after crushing Arsene Wenger's Arsenal 4-0 at St. Mary's.

But, that was not to be after throwing away a one goal lead away at West Ham United to lose 2-1, as well as losing 1-0 against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Southampton are simply sinking like a stone.

Yesterday was particularly bad. Southampton looks shaky at the back and totally inept going forward: a recurring theme these days. This wasn't helped with our sole dangerman in Sadio Mane turning up late to the game which meant Saints boss Ronald Koeman punished the Senegalese winger by dropping him to the bench.

Mane hasn't been at his best for a number of weeks now, but this certainly had a negative impact on Saturday's proceedings.

However, things went from bad to worse as Saints' Kenyan crusher Victor Wanyama got himself sent off on 73 minutes following two rightfully yellow-carded tackles which were plain idiotic. And, low and behold, Norwich scored their winner just three minutes later. Great work, Vic!
