Ronald Koeman has continually denied that Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama will be leaving the club any time soon as supposed interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur mounts.
However, British newspaper The Daily Mirror are already linking Saints with a possible Wanyama replacement in Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey despite Koeman refuting the above rumours.
According to the article, fellow Premier League side Watford have already had a bid turned down by Atleti for the Ghanaian midfield enforcer.
22 year old Partey grabbed Atletico's winner against Levante on the weekend and has only appeared five times for the club despite being there since his academy days - spending seasons out on loan at Mallorca before Almeria.
Wanyama is rumoured to want a move away from Southampton as his contract now only has 18 months left on it. He also reportedly tried to force a move away from the club to Tottenham earlier in the summer transfer window.
