It's been a good few days for Southampton on the pitch. On Sunday, Claude Puel's men handily dispatched Everton in Ronald Koeman's return to St. Mary's, while Saints easily dealt with the challenge posed by Arsenal midweek to advance to the League Cup semi-finals following a 2-0 away win at the Emirates.

Things haven't been going well for Palace of late. Alan Pardew has further headaches induced by the injury of Connor Wickham, who is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury last week. Palace are also missing classy midfielder Yohan Cabaye through suspension and French goalkeeper Steve Mandanda with another knee injury.

Meanwhile, Saints are likely to be missing Dusan Tadic following the broken nose he picked up on international duty for Serbia, while Matt Targett is also sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Stats Zone:

Palace won this fixture 1-0 last season, ending a run of three consecutive home defeats against Southampton. That is their only win in 14 Premier League games against the Saints - drawing four and losing nine.

However, Palace have now lost six league games in a row. Pardew has never lost seven successive fixtures in the Premier League.

Pardew's men have only mustered 22 points from 32 matches in 2016. This is an average of 0.69 points per game - the worst average in all professional divisions of English football.

Southampton have only won away once under Puel in the league this season - drawing two and losing three.

Saints have only allowed their opponents 31 shots on target this season - fewer than any other side.

Betting Odds:
