Tottenham Hotspur may have not won the Premier League after their draw against Chelsea on Monday night saw Leicester City become England's unexpected champions. But, with North London rivals Arsenal chasing them for the runner-up spot in the league, Mauricio Pochettino and his men will not want to let go of second place.

Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele will be missing from today's game against Southampton after picking up a six-game ban for violent conduct - via eye gouging Diego Costa - on Monday night, while Dele Alli is still suspended after punching Claudio Yacob of West Bromwich Albion.

Ronald Koeman looks set to name an unchanged side which demolished Manchester City last week with no injury concerns. But, Graziano Pelle could feature this week having not been given the chance against City.

The Saints have been buoyed with the news of Virgil van Dijk signing a new contract at the club as well as the fact that Swansea beat West Ham yesterday to give Southampton even bigger hopes of earning Europa League qualification.

Stats Zone:

Tottenham are the one team Southampton haven't beat since their return to the Premier League. In fact, Saints haven't beat Spurs since 2005 and their last win at White Hart Lane was in 2003.

Southampton have collected 33 points in 2016 - only Tottenham and Leicester have earned more.

Spurs are unbeaten in their last eight league games, drawing four of them.

Southampton have only lost one of their last eight league games - winning five and drawing two.

Ronald Koeman only needs three points from Saints' remaining two games to equal their record Premier League points total set last year at 60.

Spurs haven't lost at home since early January - losing to new champions Leicester City.

Striker Harry Kane has scored 14 goals in his last 15 appearances for Spurs as his quest to earn the Premier League golden boot continues.

Meanwhile, Saints forward Sadio Mane has scored seven goals in his last six to close off the season.
