Prediction League: Spurs Away

Lads, it's Tottenham.

Famously Sir Alex Ferguson only had to mutter these words when preparing to play Spurs. But the league has changed a lot since Man Utd lost their legendary manager.

When it comes to Spurs they seem to have copied "The Southampton Way" down to its core. They have stolen our staff and when we refused to sell them our best midfielders they managed to nick a player we had on loan.

On the one hand it's nice to see our plan works. The ploy has seen them transformed from bottlers to one of the premiership's few competent teams. On the other hand, fuck Spurs.

For today's game Spurs will be without a few key men, in Alli and Dembele, but they are luckily to not be missing more through suspension.

Dier should have seen red against Chelsea whilst Lamela, Rose and Walker were fortunate to escape punishment from the video referee. It seems the FA couldn't be bothered to fill in the extra paperwork required after all Monday's craziness.

For us, a win takes us level with last season's record 60 point total!

To the predictions:

Another win, another 4-2. No one predicted that! Tommy did think we were going to win so he gets the only point of the round.

*Latecomers to the league

Lawro: 1-1
"The circumstances will suit Southampton. They made the most of an atrocious display by Manchester City and have really found some form."

Merson: 2-2
"Ronald Koeman has done a brilliant job at Southampton, and I'd like to see him at Arsenal if I'm honest. He's a top, top manager." (grrrrrrr)

Tommy: 1-2
"2-1 Saints. It worked last week, so why not? Seriously though, not sure how motivated Spurs will be after last week, and we looked fantastic and need at least a draw from this. I expect RK to send out the same team from City."

Dan: 2-2
"2-2 to us. We're playing well but it would be silly for us to beat them too this year... Just need Liverpool to drop points and we can do them on goal difference."

Jake: 1-0
"For some reason I think the Spurs hoodoo will be extended longer. An annoying 1-0 for Spuds. Hope I'm wrong!

Will: 2-1
"Spurs won't be as weakened as they deserve to be after Monday's match. Think this will be tough."

Paul: 1-1
"So I'm going to go for 1-1. I think Spurs will be pretty downtrodden, plus they'll only be able to field about 6 players."

Connor: 2-1
"For some reason, Spurs always seem to have the edge in matches against Saints. We're in good scoring form though, so I back us to score. 2-1 to Spurs."

George: 1-0
"1-0 spurs"
