Nathan Redmond says that he's joined a "dressing room full of winners" since his move from Norwich City to Southampton earlier this summer.

The winger scored a brace in yesterday's pre-season friendly against PEC Zwolle as the Saints walked out 4-0 victors in a convincing display.

The England Under 21 international was full of praise for his teammates, saying that since he's arrived from Carrow Road, he feels like he's entered a "dressing room full of winners".

Redmond said: "We want to look to go and win every single game. That’s the feeling that I've got from the dressing room since I’ve come in.

"It’s a dressing room full of winners and everyone wants to win every single game whether it be a friendly or the first league game coming up in the season.

"I feel like I've walked into a winning environment. Two wins out of two in pre-season so far, and we’ll look to go and win the next one as well."

Redmond was also pleased to net his first goals for the club and was pleased to see the work he does in training pay off.

"Scoring is always a good feeling and to get my first couple in a Southampton shirt is a good feeling.

"I’m pretty comfortable shooting off either foot. Coming in off that right hand side and scoring with my left foot is something that I practice in training daily, so to put it into a game is always nice to see."

Southampton's next pre-season friendly in their tour of Holland will be against FC Twente on Wednesday evening.
