Southampton have made yet another move to keep their top talent at the club by offering three key players new contracts.

Dusan Tadic and Cedric Soares have both been offered contracts that would extend their stay at Southampton while Saints captain Jose Fonte is understood to have been offered a pay rise, according to the Daily Echo.

This news comes as no surprise after Saints have made their intentions clear with a host of first team players putting pen to paper on new long-term deals.

Dusan Tadic has just two years left on his current contract after signing from FC Twente as Ronald Koeman's first signing two years ago. However, it is understood that the Serbian has been offered a new deal that would keep him at St. Mary's beyond 2018.

Despite joining the club last summer on a four-year deal, Cedric Soares has also been offered a new contract at the club. The right back impressed during Portugal's Euro 2016 triumph and Saints are keen to get a commitment from the right back who undoubtedly attracted some attraction during the summer.

The Daily Echo have also reported that Claude Puel has been impressed with what he's seen of Cedric and sees him as a key part of his plans. The right back, along with skipper Fonte, have returned to pre-season training at Staplewood today.

The other player understood to be in line for a new deal is Jose Fonte. The centre back still has two years left on his contract but the club are eager to show how much they value the captain's leadership and commitment to the club by offering him a pay rise.

After reports linking Fonte to Everton and Manchester United in recent days, the club are keen to make sure Fonte is among Southampton's highest earners after a summer of new contracts.
