Sky Sports is reporting that Southampton have decided that Jay Rodriguez will stay at Saints for the year. The man from Burnley netted yesterday to equalize and save a point in a match against Sunderland.
Previously, the club wanted to move Rodriguez out on loan for game time and to see if he could remain fit. This news will please most fans at the moment. West Brom and Hull remain keen on Rodrgiuez, but reports say that the club are no longer looking to move him.
Rodriguez looks to be a sure-fire starter now after his goal, and could be a lead-man in two weeks against Arsenal.
