All the latest Southampton news and rumours in one place.

Following the confirmation that the club had broke it's transfer record to sign attacking stat Sofiane Boufal, World Soccer Talk did a nice little piece to give a quick view into the life and times of the Saints new players.

If you missed the news, Southampton broke their signing record to earn the signature of Boufal. If you'd like to learn a little more about him, this piece is a nice way to kill a few minutes of your time.

Boufal's signing leads us right into our next story with the Daily Star claiming that Hull City is close to securing a season long loan for Saints striker Jay Rodriguez.

This adventure is going to keep moving right into deadline day. The only person that likely knows whether J-Rod is staying or going is Puel. Hopefully, the fan favorite stays put on the South Coast.

Another Southampton player that could be heading out on loan in the near future is youngster Harrison Reed with HITC Sport reporting that both Derby and Wolves are interested in his services.

This move is something that I think could benefit Reed. In the last couple of seasons his career has stagnated with the Saints. Heading out on loan to get some time on the pitch would do him a world of good in his continued development.

A potential late developing signing for the Saints at this stage could be Empoli's midfield Riccardo Saponara with rumors that Southampton have made an offer for the player now swirling around the club.

I really don't know much about Saponara except that he 33 games last season for the Italian club, scoring five goals. Such a move could open the door for the rumored Jordy Clasie transfer to go-ahead before deadline day.
