Southampton have no new injury concerns following Ryan Bertrand's return to the side in Saturday's 2-1 loss away at Arsenal. However, club-record signing Sofiane Boufal remains sidelined as he recovers from a knee injury.
Meanwhile, Sparta Prague have concerns over midfielder Borek Dočkal, who has been missed action with a knee injury, while Martin Frydek remains a doubt.
This will be the first time the teams have ever met in a competitive fixture - it's the first time Southampton have ever faced a side from the Czech Republic.
Last season Southampton were knocked out at the play-off stage by Denmark's FC Midtjylland, having beaten Vitesse Arnhem after entering at the third qualifying round.
This year they qualified automatically for the group stage proper and will face off against Inter Milan and Hapoel Be'er Sheva as well as tonight's opponents.
Fact Zone:
Sparta Prague were impressive in the Europa League last season - reaching the quarter finals before losing to Villarreal.
The Czech side have failed to win any of their last 14 games against English opponents, drawing four and losing ten of those matches.
However, Sparta have lost only one of their last 11 Europa League group stage games – a 2-0 defeat against Swiss club Young Boys two years ago.
Saints are unbeaten at St Mary's in European competition, winning one and drawing two.
