Fonte speaks out about contract talks and Krueger, Team Europe handed opening loss in championship series.

Jose Fonte has said “there’s nothing on the table” regarding talks of a new contract for the defender, which could pay him £70,000-a-week. (Mirror)

However, head coach Krueger and Team Europe fell 3-1 in Game 1 of the best-of-three championship series against Canada in Toronto, despite giving what he felt was their best performance of the tournament. (TSN)
