Claude Puel's Southampton has finally reached the big 40, securing another year of Premier League football in theory.
Following two consecutive wins over in-form Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion sides, Puel's men will be hoping to maintain some positive momentum.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are in similar boat, beating Hull City last week to end a winless run of four games and bolster their chances of finishing in the top four and earning more Champions League football for next season.
Puel has a couple of decisions to make with star striker Manolo Gabbiadini now returning to fitness after picking up a groin injury away at Tottenham Hotspur last month, while Steven Davis is also available. Southampton are still missing the likes of Virgil van Dijk through injury and Oriol Romeu through suspension, however.
City captain Vincent Kompany could be in line to return to the starting line-up as he is now fully fit, though he wasn't risked against Hull last week.
Stats Zone (via BBC Sport):
Southampton ended a run of four successive league defeats to Manchester City with a 4-2 victory in this fixture last season.
In fact, Saints have only lost two of their seven Premier League meetings with City at St Mary's Stadium (W3, D2).
City have scored in the last 11 meetings in all competitions.
Southampton have lost just one of their last six league games (W4, D1) - having lost six of the previous seven.
They could register three Premier League wins in a row for the first time under Claude Puel.
Puel's side are yet to beat any of the current top six this season in seven attempts, losing five and drawing twice.
Dusan Tadic has been involved in five goals in his last six Premier League appearances, scoring one and setting up four.
Manchester City have only lost one of their last 10 league matches, winning five and drawing four.
A City victory would be their 19th of the season, equalling their total number of Premier League wins in 2015-16 under Manuel Pellegrini.
Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has conceded a goal from the last seven on-target shots he's faced in the Premier League.
Sergio Aguero has scored 10 goals in his last 10 games in all competitions.
