Southampton striker Sam Gallagher has courted the interest of the Premier League's Sunderland (for the time being, anyway) as well as Aston Villa, Wolves and Cardiff of the Championship according to the Daily Mail.
Gallagher, 21, has impressed during his time at Ewood Park, despite Blackburn Rovers struggling to survive a relegation scrap which could see them drop into League One.
The England U20 man has netted 12 goals for Blackburn in the Championship this season.
One of those goals came against Bristol City in a game key to Blackburn's survival chances—a match presided over by Sunderland boss David Moyes.
This could be a case of the Daily Mail putting two and two together and getting five, but it is certainly viable that Championship clubs will look to Gallagher as a young, attractive striking option next season.
