Southampton right-back Cedric says the club are well aware of the threat posed by Hull City on Saturday afternoon—especially the capability of their young coach Marco Silva.

Cedric played under Silva for a season at Sporting Lisbon in 2014-15. Under the Portuguese manager's tutelage, Sporting won their first silverware since 2008—the Taça de Portugal—on penalties against Braga after a 2-2 draw in the final.

Silva was sacked just four days later for not wearing the club's official suit in a cup match against FC Vizela.

“Hull have a very good team, with a very good coach in Marco Silva who was my coach before in Portugal," Cedric told the official site.

“We need to be aware but they need to be aware of us because we have an amazing team and we work very hard every day and we’ll be at our level to try to win the game.”

Hull may have not won away from home since August, but Silva's men have won six home games from seven, drawing the odd one out—earning 19 points from a possible 21.
