Prediction League: Palace

Last night our boys were overtaken by three victorious sides and fell to 13th in the table. Can a saints side without Gabbiadini and Van Dijk climb back up the table?

There has been a lot of hullabaloo in the build up to this match about Palace finally turning the corner. Big Sam's methods have supposedly taken hold and we are now seeing the results.

Another take might be that Chelsea were ridiculously unlucky/wasteful in front of goal and on a different day would have easily spanked their south London foes. I mean the stats and highlights suggest there was a lot more luck than judgement involved in Palace grabbing all three points.

The eagles may have rode their luck at the weekend

And perhaps this would be a cause for some optimism tonight but for a simple fact.

This year's Southampton team are the kings of ridiculously unlucky/wasteful football.

Let's just get on with the predictions.

Predictions

Merse: 1-2

I'm going to go Palace here. They've got some really, really tough fixtures coming up, and they need to win this. They have the hardest run-in, so they need to get a gap between them and the bottom three.

Lawro: 1-1

I think Palace's unbeaten run will continue when they go to St Mary's but they might have to settle for a point.

Will: 1-1

Not sure where our goal is coming from but I guarantee Benteke gets one from a towering header.

Allen: 0-1

No Gabbiadini, no goals. It seems to be a curse of sorts.

George: 0-1

This has got 1-0 Palace written all over it. Joel Ward to score from a corner after we dominate possession.
