Prediction League: Middlesbrough (a)

It might be impossible to find a game with less riding on it than this fixture

Not too much to say about this one. Middlesbrough are doomed to play in the Championship next season. Saints aren't exactly disproving the naysayers who think their minds are already on the beach.

Predictions

Lawro: 1-2

Let's give Claude Puel some credit for what he has done in his first season at Southampton, because he has been without some key players for long periods, on top of the talent that left the club in the summer and then in January too.

Merse: 2-0

Southampton have hit a brick wall and Claude Puel needs to finish with a couple of results, but I'm going to go for Boro here, it's their last game at home in the Premier League and there's no reason for them not to go out on the attack and have a go.

George: 0-0

A horrific 0-0, which would rank at 380th of the seasons most exciting games if such a table occurred.

Allen: 1-1

1-1 on the cards methinks - insert all those footballing adjectives to describe this one.

Jake: 1-0

1-0 Saints but it won't be pretty.

Dan V: 3-0

3-0 Saints. Come on. Need to finish above Bournemouth!

Will: 0-0

I have the advantage of writing this after the teams were announced! Oh dear.
