Prediction League: Liverpool Away

It's that time of year again. A trip to Anfield to meet some old friends.

Liverpool are a strange animal. Brilliant against the top teams. Mediocre against the bad teams.

So what does that make this year's saints team? Are we bad? If you listen to a large section of our fanbase they will tell you yes.

Klopp's team has struggled against sides that don't allow them the space to destroy defences. Southampton are 2-1-0 against Liverpool this season for precisely this reason. 4-3-3 basically became 4-5-1 as Puel instructed his men to sit back and frustrate, then spring into counter attacks. It worked. Three games played. Two goals scored. None conceded.

Today there is a different problem facing our boys. We are officially on the beach whilst the Reds are fighting tooth and nail for a place in the top four.

This could be rough.

Predictions

Lawro: 2-0

The Reds owe Saints after they lost to them in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup, and I think they will get some revenge.

Merse: 3-0

The race for the top four is back in Liverpool's hands and that's all you can ask for at this stage of the season. I expect them to win this game easily.

Dan V: 3-1

3-1 Liverpool. Worrying end to the season continues...

Allen: 2-1

Agree with Dan. I'll say 2-1 Liverpool. Don't think we're that bothered.

Jake: 2-0

They have everything to play for and the season is over for Saints.

Will: 2-1
