Southampton trolled Ronald Koeman, Liverpool and rivals Portsmouth, as the club revealed their 2017/18 kits in a short two-part superhero cartoon.
There is no missing that blonde hair with the left part holding the remote control containing the kits, which sends a tip of the cap to the 1980s and continues Under Armour’s quest to showcase the history of Southampton.

Liverpool was present at the meeting of villains whilst newly promoted — to League One — Portsmouth snuck in, but were given a small cobwebbed nameplate. Villainy was obviously done on a tight budget.
The away strip, however, has the famed stripes, but not in the usual red and white. Instead they are a deep teal and against a black top.
To quote Manolo Gabbiadini’s superhero character, “Mama Mia!”.
It is different, but thankfully not a screaming neon colour, which Under Armour is renowned for across their clothing line.
Southampton kicks off the 2017/18 Premier League campaign at St Mary’s against Swansea City on 12 August.
