Southampton to host Wolves in EFL Cup

The march back to Wembley starts at St Mary’s.

Southampton has drawn Wolverhampton Wanderers in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Now known as the Carabao Cup, Southampton reached the final in the competition last season before being defeat by Manchester United at Wembley.

Championship side Wolves, meanwhile, beat Yeovil and Southampton’s on-loan Olufela Olomola 1-0 in the opening round. Nouha Dicko scored the lone goal.

The second-round tie will take place at St Mary’s in the week commencing 21st August with the date and time to be confirmed.
