According to ESPN FC’s Peter O’Rouke, Juventus’ Mario Lemina is set for a medical at Southampton per sources.
Lemina, 23, has made 42 appearances over two seasons at the Serie A club, but has struggled to maintain a regular place in the Juventus line-up.
Reports from 2015 suggest that Southampton was interested in the midfielder alongside the likes of Premier League counterparts Liverpool and West Ham.
Lemina, however, elected to join Juventus on a loan deal that became permanent.
Despite sources telling ESPN FC that Lemina is set for a medical at Southampton, Stoke are looking to hijack the deal at the last minute.
Lemina, who began his professional career with Lorient in France has also played for Marseille.
