Southampton have signed Juventus midfielder and Gabon international Mario Lemina in a club record deal worth up to £18.1million on a five-year deal, as per BBC Sport.
It’s reported Saints will be paying an initial fee of £15.4million.
Lamina made 42 appearances in the black and white shirt of Juventus in all competitions, scoring three goals, after beginning his career at Lorient and moving to Marseille.
Lemina has also represented Gabon’s national team on nine occasions, scoring two goals. This comes after seven appearances in French national youth teams.
The all-action Gabonese midfielder is a lively, mobile, box-to-box player who seems a much-needed addition to the laboured Southampton midfield of last season.
And judging by the comments on the below video released by Juventus, the club’s fans will miss Lamina as he dons the red and white of Southampton.
