Southampton put up a spirited performance against Premier League giants Manchester United last Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to succumb to a 1-0 defeat at home. Saints are presently 11th with eight points.
Stoke, meanwhile, fell to a 4-0 home loss to league champions Chelsea last week, and find themselves down the table in 16th with five points in six games.
Saints have no fresh injury worries, though Matt Targett is not expected to feature after returning to training in the week.
