It’s long been rumoured. Former Southampton manager Harry Redknapp has now been confirmed to be appearing on the next series of I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
For the uninitiated, I’m a Celebrity is a British reality TV show which flings numerous celebrities, from A to Z, into an Australian ‘jungle,’ which is actually a rain forest.
Contestants are voted off by the public, a winner wins a monetised popularity vote. You get the jist.
Given their location and the celebrity status of some participants, viewers vote on who they wish to take part in ‘Bush Tucker Trials’ - filmed challenges to make the contestants squirm, from eating bugs to swimming among crocodiles.
The show is used to creepy, slimy creatures which make your skin crawl, so Harry Redknapp should fit right in.

Redknapp was in charge of Saints as the club was relegated from the Premier League in the 2004/5 season after taking over from the disastrous Steve Wigley.
He joined from bitter rivals Portsmouth, then left midway through the next season to rejoin Saints’ South Coast neighbours, hence Southampton’s above tweet.
Since then, Redknapp was in charge of Portsmouth as they cheated their way to won an FA Cup with Portsmouth by assembling a team they couldn’t afford and led Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League. He has also been dogged by tax fraud allegations and was investigated by HM Revenue & Customs, though was found not guilty.
We really, really hope Redknapp doesn’t get picked for these Bush Tucker Trials. Whatever you do, do not vote for him to be humiliated, Southampton fans.
