Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic says he is too busy to entertain the rumours regarding his future at the Cottagers and a potential move to Southampton.
Reports surfaced on Tuesday, saying under-fire Saints manager Mauricio Pellegrino will be relieved of his duties at the club regardless of whether Southampton survive its relegation battle or not.
Said reports also named Jokanovic and Ostersunds manager - and former Saint - Graham Potter as Southampton’s preferred options as Pellegrino’s replacement.
Jokanovic’s Fulham are currently pressing for automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League and are firmly embedded within the division’s playoff positions.
Given that, it’s understandable why Jokanovic is trying to diffuse any talk about his future at the club. But he does appear to take the rumours as a compliment.
As per Get West London, the Serbian manager said: “I am so busy here and thinking about the game ahead with my team.
”In general we talking about some top opinion, positive or negative, if somebody is talking about myself in the future, it can be great news for myself.
”But at this moment, I am so busy to thinking about gossip and about other teams.
”I have enough here where I am right now and I must be focused and concentrate for myself.”
