Manolo Gabbiadini’s agent Silvio Pagliari insists the Southampton striker is still focused on improving Saints’ Premier League survival chances despite rumours linking the Italian to a move to Lazio.
However, Pagliari raised doubts Gabbiadini will stay at Southampton beyond this 2017/18 Premier League season.
Gabbiadini has scored just four league goals all season and has found his playing time limited of late, having endured a poor run of form.
“Right now he’s focused on staying up with Southampton,” Pagliari told RMC Sport [H/T Football Italia]
“He doesn’t have his head elsewhere. In a month the league will end and after that we’ll see.

“With [sporting director Igli] Tare and Lazio it’s an old story dating back to four or five years ago before Gabbiadini moved to Sampdoria.”
There are plenty of Saints players who could be considered dead wood needing the axe as the club flirt with relegation to the Championship.
As beloved as Gabbiadini is at Saints, it’s hard to argue he will be such a big loss following such a lacklustre season.
