According to Sky Sports, Southampton striker Guido Carrillo is expected to leave the club “within 24 hours”.
The next destination for Carrillo is thought to be Spanish side Leganes, joining the club on loan.
If Argentine flop Carrillo does leave the club on loan, that will not fill any Saints fans with hope of recuperating the eye-watering sum spent on him in January.
Then-manager Mauricio Pellegrino signed the former Monaco striker for £19m - a club-record transfer fee which still stands as of writing - but Carrillo has failed to score for the club in 10 appearances.
Omitted from the Saints pre-season squad currently on tour in China, it’s thought Carrillo will not be featured in manager Mark Hughes’ plans this season.
