It looks like Southampton’s once-exciting transfer window will be ending a damp squib.
The two Adams, Blackmore and Leitch, believe it is unlikely we will see any players come or leave Southampton today. Both journalists are well-linked to the club.
Not expecting much movement at #saintsfc today - business of signing players seems to be done

And not sure they are interested in loaning out any of the first team squad that are being linked with moves away ..
As it stands not expecting a lot more to happen today at #saintsfc. The club are ready to act if the right offers come in for players, but given they need to sell before they can buy, it really needs the stars to align

Saints have seldom been linked with signing any players over the last couple of weeks, while Matt Targett - heavily rumoured to be piquing the interest of former loan club Fulham - looks set to stay after Saints reportedly rejected a £15m bid for the young left-back.
Meanwhile, reports of James Ward-Prowse interesting Watford as suitors appear to have waned. Yesterday, there were rumours of Watford being willing to table a £10m bid for the midfielder. Now, media outlets such as Sky Sports claim Watford want to loan Ward-Prowse, a move which seems highly unlikely.
