Newcastle vs. Southampton Team News:

As outlined earlier in the week, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has a series of selection headaches for this week’s visit to Newcastle.

Jannik Vestergaard, Charlie Austin, Matt Targett and Alex McCarthy are all fitness doubts, while Mario Lemina looks set to miss out on playing again.

However, young right-back Yan Valery is set to be involved after recovering from a thigh injury.

On the other side of the coin, Newcastle have no fresh injury doubts.

Florian Lejeune and Sean Longstaff will be out of action for the foreseeable future, but there are no new injuries for manager Rafa Benitez to contend with.
