Charlie Austin and social media hasn’t exactly mixed well of late.
Earning the (somewhat OTT) ire of Southampton fans ahead of the Champions League final when he posted a photo of himself wearing a Liverpool shirt, Austin posted another incendiary tweet to set Saints fans off on Monday evening.
The resulting flak thrown his way saw him deactivate his Twitter account.
Charlie Austin's deactivated. Frozen out of the team and now out of his own social media. Nails. #SaintsFC pic.twitter.com/ICLX5ryedB

We can no longer embed Austin’s tweet, but he simply posted the above gif, hinting that he is being frozen out of the club.
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has made it very clear that Austin is no longer a part of his vision of the Saints squad.
To free up funds to buy the players he wants, Hasenhuttl needs to sell a number of players and Austin is certainly one Saints are looking to get off the wage bill.
Austin wasn’t included in Saints’ pre-season training camp in Austria.
Yes bro! @chazaustin10 ✊

Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, also heavily rumoured to be leaving the club soon, posted the above in reaction to Austin’s now-deleted tweet.
Here’s hoping we can ship both players out ASAP.
