Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl says his Saints side have no injury worries ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League visit to St Mary’s on Saturday.

While Liverpool have been on a midweek jaunt in Istanbul, beating Chelsea on penalties to win the European Super Cup - Hasenhuttl says his team have had some intense fitness sessions to make up for last week’s defeat at Burnley.

Hasenhuttl confirmed he has a full squad to pick from for Liverpool, including Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg, who was ill ahead of Burnley, and new signing Kevin Danso.

“We tried to put push the [Burnley] game away at the beginning of the week,” Hasenhuttl said in his pre-game interview per Southampton.

“[I] cancelled the day off, tried to analyse and work in our minds that from Tuesday on we can focus on the new game.

“The challenge is big enough so it’s useful to take all the energy we have and focus on this game.

“So far we have not (got any injury problems). We have worked very hard in the last two days. Today we had a lighter session, they were a little bit tired today because we have worked hard but no injuries so far.”

Let’s hope those fitness sessions can help Saints earn an unlikely victory against Liverpool on Saturday.
