Southampton vs. Huddersfield Team and Injury News:

Southampton are likely to field a much-changed team which beat Tottenham Hotspur last week to cap off a successful festive period of football for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Saints.

Hasenhuttl says there are no injury concerns for his team, but it’s certain a lot of the players who played starring roles against Spurs, Chelsea and Crystal Palace will be rested.

However, the FA Cup holds high importance for Hasenhuttl so you can expect a strong side at St Mary’s.

”We want to take this challenge very seriously in this competition,” Hasenhuttl said. [H/T BBC Sport]

”Last season we lost in the third round and we want to do it better at home in front of our fans. Everyone enjoys playing in this ground and we want to keep the momentum.”

Huddersfield have some injury worries ahead of the match.

Defender Tommy Elphick, along with attackers Alex Pritchard and Collin Quaner, are all expected to miss out.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Hogg and Elias Kachunga are availability doubts who will have late fitness tests.
