Early in July, Southampton launched their new home and third kits.
Saints reverted back to its sash roots to celebrate the club’s 135th-year anniversary.
Today, Southampton’s media team unveiled the new 2020/21 away kit to complete the trio.
The navy-blue shirt features yellow and “Solent blue” accents to hark back to Southampton’s famous FA Cup win over Manchester United in 1976.
“With a sleek navy-blue design, the kit harks back to the colour used for the team’s shorts and socks throughout much of its early history, from 1891 all the way through to 1950,” says the official press release received this morning by email.
“It is complemented by accents of yellow and solent blue that conjure memories of the iconic 1976 FA Cup final victory.”
The shirt is already online for pre-order here, or you can visit the club’s Westquay store to pre-order (wear a mask!). Saints say the shirt will be available to purchase from 17 August.
