According to Sky Sports, Southampton have completed a deal worth £10.9m to sign Mohammed Salisu from La Liga side Real Valladolid.
It’s thought that the fee met Salisu’s minimum release clause at the club owned by living Brazilian football legend Ronaldo.
Sky Sports say Salisu has agreed a four-year deal at St Mary’s and the Ghanian will undergo a 14-day quarantine period when he arrives in the UK from Spain due to to the government’s coronavirus travel measures.
Southampton will not be looking at any other centre-backs unless they sell one in the summer transfer window according to the report.
When does the summer transfer window open and close?
The summer transfer window opened on 27 July and closes at 23:00 on 5 October.
A domestic-only window for trades between Premier League and EFL clubs will run from 5 October until 16 October at 17:00.
