Harrison Reed is “absolutely delighted” after securing Fulham transfer from Southampton

The Saints academy product may finally play regular Premier League football

Former Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed sealed his transfer to Fulham after impressing at Craven Cottage on loan.

That spell saw Reed help the Cottagers to Premier League promotion via the playoffs as he was a regular starter in central midfield.

Reed, who Fulham reportedly bought for a fee around £8million, is “absolutely delighted” at the move as he hopes to finally get some regular playing time in the Premier League.

“I’m absolutely buzzing to finally get it done and to be here as a permanent player. I’m absolutely over the moon,” Reed told FFCtv.

“It’s going to be an exciting season. It’s a big challenge this year, but I can’t wait to get going, to get back training, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. I’m absolutely delighted to be here and commit my future to the club.”

Joining Reed at Fulham is Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, who has signed on a loan deal which has the option for a permanent move.

When does the summer transfer window open and close?

The summer transfer window opened on 27 July and closes at 23:00 on 5 October.

A domestic-only window for trades between Premier League and EFL clubs will run from 5 October until 16 October at 17:00.
