It’s not been the best of starts to a Southampton season.
Two losses in a week saw Saints defeated by Crystal Palace and then dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Brentford. Southampton then hosted Tottenham Hotspur only to get thumped 5-2 at home last Sunday.
Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will be hoping for some reversals in fortune against Burnley on Saturday night. However, that will be made difficult due to the absence of winger Nathan Redmond, who has an ankle injury.

Redmond picked up his ankle injury in that aforementioned game against Brentford in the League Cup little over a week ago. The Saints forward missed Spurs’ visit as a result.
“At the moment we have Reddy still out with an ankle injury,” said Hasenhuttl in a pre-match press conference ahead of the Burnley trip. [H/T Daily Echo]
“Everybody else can train with us. We had a few issues after the last game, it took a little bit longer for some players to recover, but now everybody is on the pitch, everybody was training today.
“We’ve had some good sessions this week and with this squad we go to the game against Burnley.”
As for the rest of the squad, it appears Hasenhuttl has no fresh injury concerns.
