Southampton vs. Shrewsbury Town team news

Southampton see a much-changed side from Saturday night’s loss to Leicester City as injuries and fitness issues start to pile up in the Southampton squad.

Danny Ings, Jannik Vestergaard, Oriol Romeu, Nathan Redmond, Will Smallbone, Moussa Djenepo and Mohammed Salisu are among the Saints players who are unavailable for selection by manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Shrewsbury Town haven’t played a game since December after COVID-19 ravaged the club’s playing and coaching staff. Manager Steve Cotterill will not be present as he is recovering from coronavirus after a battling it in intensive care last week.

Tonight’s victors will face FA Cup holders Arsenal in the next round.
